Taylor Kittell is a Founding Partner at Breakwater Law. Taylor’s practice focuses on estate planning and administration, including probate, trusts, guardianships and conservatorships. Above all else, Taylor values her relationships with clients. She is committed to treating each client with respect and compassion while assisting them in resolving both the immediate and long-term issues they face. She values communication, collaboration and teamwork, which are often the necessary ingredients to obtaining the results her clients desire.
Taylor approaches the difficult issues of planning for death and incapacity as an educator: every person should not only have an estate plan, they should understand it. Estate planning is not just about making a will; it is about coordinating your financial life, protecting assets for your loved ones, and making difficult times easier on those around you. It’s about creating a legacy. Based on her professional experience, and as a daughter, a mother, a wife, and a friend, Taylor personally understands the complexities of family relationships. She strives to be practical and responsive while producing top-quality estate plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
With a strong background in mediation, Taylor approaches cases involving probates, trust administrations, and guardianship/conservatorship proceedings with intelligence, compassion, and sensitivity to family dynamics. She provides smart legal advice that emphasizes the well-being of the family members involved, and seeks creative solutions to complex legal problems.
When Taylor is not at work, she is likely in the mountains with her husband, two children, and dog. She is an avid skier, mountaineer, and trail runner, and brings her passionate approach to her outdoor activities whenever weather and work permit. During the rainy seasons, Taylor loves reading novels, catching up with good friends, and attempting to cook exotic meals.
Taylor received a Juris Doctor from Lewis and Clark Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Pomona College, with a major in Religious Studies.
